A functional capacity evaluation is a set of tests, practices and observations that are combined to determine the ability of the evaluated person to function in a variety of circumstances, most often day to day living, in an objective manner. These outcomes enable health practitioners and allied health professionals to determine what an individual requires to function in their day-to-day life.
The NDIS generally requires a function capacity assessment to identify, and document needs for NDIS plans. This will include an assessment for therapy, equipment, aids and appliances or daily living support needs. The assessment will also outline core supports and care needs as part of our thorough evaluation.
