Prep Ready Program

For kids with special needs and disabilities

Prep Ready Program – Term 3 – Term 1, 2025. 3 Days A Week, 9-3pm – Yarrabilba And Parkwood.

The transition from kindy to prep can be a stressful time. You want your child to enjoy learning, have the skills to make friendships and connect with others, understand the basic expectations and rules of the classroom, and settle into what should be the start of a wonderful 6 years at primary school. Our therapist lead program serves as a ‘crash course for big school.’

Program Highlights:

  • 4–6-year-olds attend in small groups, dressed in KTC uniforms.
  • Sessions are conducted in a school room setting, mirroring the general routine of prep.
  • A crash course for kids to learn what to expect, as well as what is expected of them, including literacy basics, Executive Functioning skills, social skills, fine motor skills, handwriting, and numbers.
  • Large focus on positive behavior self-regulation and techniques to combat anxiety in new environments.

Our program is intensive, aiming to make your child’s experience as realistic as possible while working towards getting them emotionally and physically prepared. Upon completion, you will receive a written recommendation for your prep teacher to accommodate your child’s needs at school, supporting their learning, transition, and confidence in prep.

NDIS funding can be used for this program
